Finding and Recovering Accounts
RoyaleAPI has a big database of Clash Royale players that can be useful to locate old accounts. Our search tools allow users to search accounts by name, while most other tools only allow you to use player tags.
Finding the player tag of an account (e.g.: #PQLPQLP), is usually the first step of the recovery process.
Name search engine
You can search by name in the main search bar of RoyaleAPI, or you can visit the dedicated search page.
This page will show the additional option of "Case-sensitive exact name match". Using this may be useful to narrow down search results.
Banned accounts
Banned accounts also appear through this name search tool, but will be displayed with a red "Banned" label to indicate their unavailable status.
Limitations
- Top 100 results
To prevent abuse, we only show the top 100 most relevant results. If this restriction is cutting out the account you are looking for, the case-sensitive toggle we mentioned earlier may help.
We can't provide you extented lists of search results.
- Untracked accounts
Not every account of the playerbase is available in our search engine. If an account has never been logged in RoyaleAPI, our search won't be able to find it.
Generally this means that accounts that have been inactive since 2018 are less likely to be available.
- Name changes
Our search engine is based on the last account name that we logged. This has 2 main implications:
Searching by old names won't find the account
If an account has been renamed since our last log, searching by current name won't find the account
Our recommendations
Other search paths
Player name search is the most straightforward way to find an account, but not the only one. Other potentially useful paths are:
Search by clan name
Look at old screenshots, some may be stored in cloud storage services
Ask your friends if the account is listed in their "Friend List"
Forget about the account
We regularly see players trying to recover old accounts that didn't have a meaningful amount of progress worth salvaging.
The Clash Royale economy has evolved and inflated a lot over the years. An account with several weeks of progress can now be matched with just a few days. For example, unlocking a Legendary card used to be a rare event, but nowadays it is fairly ordinary.
So in summary, don't be afraid to start from scratch, old progress has been devalued a lot over time.
RoyaleAPI isn't Supercell
RoyaleAPI creates content and tools for Clash Royale, but we aren't part of Supercell. This means that for account recovery or other issues related to the game, you should contact in-game support, not us.
This includedes but is not limited to:
Recovery of an old account
Account has been stolen or hacked
Issues with Supercell ID
Deleted accounts
Locked accounts that triggered account protection
